WOLF OPEN HOUSE MEETINGS!!Dear Good HUPC Members! Just a short note on short notice because the notice was short! The Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, only a few days ago, announced a series of open house type meetings to discuss the concerns and issues surrounding wolf coming home to Utah! For background information of the status of wolf under the Endangered Species Act and other issues see <The LYNX> 2/01, 12/00, 10/00 and 6/00). The meetings will be held throughout Utah and will consist of a slide presentation, an information paper on wolves, informal discussion and comment forms. The slide presentation will be shown twice each evening. It is not a formal hearing but is the beginning of the process of finally discussing the likelihood of wolf coming home to Utah! Your wild voice will be very important--the agricultural and hunting interests strenuously oppose the wolf coming back to Utah--and we hope you can find a few minutes to attend one of these open houses: April 16, Monday, 5-10 PM Department of Natural Resources Auditorium 1594 W.
