Uintas Trail Work Needed On Kamas District! This fall the Kamas Ranger District needs our help as well to assist in improving the natural resource conditions on the Highline and adjacent trails. The Forest Service plans to clean and install many water bars, replace large sections of 1950's corduroy which protect wet areas, and other work. A camp will be established near Pinto Lake Junction on the Highline Trail. The Forest Service will provide cooking gear, first aid supplies, solar powered water filters, tools and several tents to house volunteers, and pack support on each Tuesday to take in food and supplies. They would like a minimum commitment of four days for any volunteer and would prefer longer. Work has been scheduled for three eight day tours on the Highline Trail: Tues. Aug 22- 29; Tues. Sept. 5-12; Tues. Sept. 19-26. The Forest Service will provide food for those committing to an eight-day tour.
