ACTION UPDATE: Projects of the High Uintas Preservation CouncilMembers of the HUPC board of directors attended roadless hearings across the state in June. Thanks to all those HUPC members who took the time to attend one or several of the important hearings in SLC, Evanston, and Vernal. A special thanks to HUPC member Linda Van Wagenen who accompanied board member Margaret Pettis to the Vernal hearing where both testified in favor of roadless protection for the Uintas. * * *We are still awaiting the Evanston Travel Plan and the West Fork Blacks Fork Grazing Plan (Wasatch National Forest) and the East Trout Slope proposed timber sale (Ashley National Forest). * * *The July 25th WNF Breakfast Meeting with forest personnel was an interesting discussion on the Uinta N.
