HAPPY TRAILS, MIKE HOWARD

We have to say goodbye to Mike Howard, HUPC Board member. Mike joined the board in February 2000 and, while his stay was shorter than we would have liked it, was nonetheless crucial. Mike played a manifest role in developing our thinking and positions on native fishery issues. His insight, soft voice and careful thinking prodded us at every board meeting to make sure we knew of what we spoke and why and to minimize the whimpering and yammering!

We will really miss Mike as he now focuses on his professional work because he also knew the Uintas firsthand, having backpacked through them on long trips. Good luck, good friend, and remember there will always be a waiting chair for a return trip to the HUPC board!
