HUPC Rendezvous 2000

Rendezvous 2000 of the High Uintas Preservation Council was a wonderful moment in time. Gathered under sunny skies amidst the mid-September glory of the Uintas, about 35 members and friends shared good food, coffee and stories of summer past. New faces and many familiar ones gathered to celebrate a day in the high country that members of the High Uintas Preservation Council work to protect. If you couldn't attend, we hope you'll join us next year.

To prepare us for the annual howl Dick told an incredible tale of the intelligence of corvids and shared a mesmerizing storyby Gary Nabhan. Then, on this our fourth anniversary, we sent a lusty howl over the North Fork Duchesne River Basin. Lovers of wildness and the High Uintas pulled from deep within their chests a call of the wild to match high, rocky Agassiz and Hayden Peaks beyond the chasm.
