The High Uintas Preservation Council depends on your activism. We're all aware of the urgency to "think globally, act locally", and the High Uintas Preservation Council provides an opportunity for folks to do just that!

Significant threats face the Uintas including the traditional conflicts of roadless area oil and gas leasing or timber harvesting, the introduction of nonindigenous fish and wildlife which increases the recreational pressures on the wilderness and threatens the ecological fabric of the ecosystem, and the incessant creep of motorized recreational activity into the backcountry and even the wilderness.

We work with the Forest Service to protect and preserve the wild and pristine nature of the High Uintas, but it takes a plethora of consistent, civil, but firm voices to bring life to the issues of additional wilderness protection, roadless area preservation and protection of ecological processes which create the inherent biodiversity of the Uintas.

An annual $35 membership fee will assure you of receiving our newsletter and action alerts.

We also welcome the support of concerned businesses that will commit to a donation of $100 annually. We will regularly announce your partnership as a Supporting Business on our web page and in our newsletter, The LYNX.
